Marty Walker joined the Hundred Club of DuPage County’s Board of Directors in 2013.  He is a graduate of Wheaton North High School, and graduated from the very first E.M.T program in the State of Illinois from Loyola University in Maywood in 1973.  He is also a graduate from Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora in their first Paramedic program in 1974.

Marty is the proud father of  three married sons, four grandsons and five granddaughters living in the area.  His Fire career started in 1972 when he joined the Kenneyville Fire District as a Volunteer Firefighter. In 1974 he was hired by the Carol Stream Fire District and became the department’s first paramedic. Marty was promoted to Lieutenant in 1976 and took charge of the departments Fire Prevention Bureau. Marty retired as a Lieutenant / Acting Battalion Chief from the Carol Stream Fire District in June 2012. Marty has been a resident of Naperville since 2007 and has been very active in local community organizations.  He is a member of the Naperville Exchange Club, board member, and a past chair of their Americanism Committee and 2013 Chairman of the Ribfest overseeing 14 committees and 4000 volunteers.  He is also a member of the Jaycees and is a “Rooster” in the club, as well as a member of the West Suburban Irish, and member of Judd Kendall VFW Post.  Marty also assists with all Naperville parades and “Healing Field of Honor” and chairs their 9/11 Ceremony. He servers as an adviser with Operation Support Our Troops-America as well as finds time to volunteer at Cantigny as an Ambassador.
